Stress Related Illness
For many stress related illness is the unfortunate side effect of suffering everyday life. It seems that it's part of every facet of life as most of us know it. From dealing with family related stress to work stress it works its method deeper into our psyche along with begins to affect us over a deep level if we cannot counteract its effects. Left unchecked stress can even make us quite ill. While a few of the stress related illnesses may be a bit more than an inconvenience a number of them can be very serious, actually deadly.
Sleep Disturbance
One of the most extremely common forms of stress related illness is attributable to disturbances in a person's slumber pattern. By having to spend long hours working or in working with family problems it is very easy to throw off your slumber schedule. This schedule is very important in that it's what allows your body enough time it needs to reverse a few of the short term damage that stress has on it in the daytime.
It also allows your thoughts time to reset and be ready for the next day. Without regular sleep periods you might soon find yourself feeling tired at all times. You will soon have problems with response times, concentration, and decision making.
Depression
Another affect that stress can have comes in a bit more insidious form. By constant exposure to stress for an extended stretch of time you can begin to experience depression. This disorder is one who is very consuming. A sufferer will exhibit signs that resemble a normal person suffering through stress. It is, however, not something which will just go away.
Listed here are some signs to watch pertaining to: Always tired even after sleeping for extended periods, extreme and rapid weight changes (whether it can be gain or loss), loss of involvement in things that used to bring enjoyment (hobbies, family, etc), and severe lack of concentration. If you notice more than one of these symptoms in your life then you may be suffering from depression.
A prudent course of action would for being to let your doctor know to get treatment for it.
Other Kinds of Stress Related Illness
While the aforementioned illnesses can be somewhat severe there are many others that are much more common. Many people suffer from them each and every day and never realize that they are attributable to the stress they are handling. Some of these illnesses range from tension, cold or flu, joint, severe headaches, anxiety, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, and even some forms of cancer may be exacerbated by stress. If left untreated many of these illnesses can even lead in order to death.
While some people are able to deal with the stress thrown at them many of us feel the effects of this through stress related illnesses. It is very important to determine the cause these stress related illnesses so we can then begin to remedy the situation rather than having to deal with the symptoms.
